Today’s travels brought us from Boulder City, Nevada to Williams, Arizona.
We took our time leaving Boulder City, watched trains in California, walked over London Bridge, and met friends in Kingman.
After breakfast and checking out of our hotel, we drove around Boulder City and logged several geocaches.
There were several route options to get us from the Las Vegas area to Lake Havasu City, we opted for the Needles Parkway so that we could cross through a corner of California (and color another state in on our geocaching map!).
We spent some time driving around that part of the Mojave Desert, and found a really good spot to watch some trains rolling by for a couple of hours.
We got to Lake Havasu City around 2pm and spent a few hours walking around the area and over London Bridge. We left the area a little after 4pm to make it to dinner with some friends in Kingman by 5. It was a very fast 4 hours visiting at their favorite Thai restaurant, we left Kingman at 9:30 and arrived at our hotel in Williams by 11pm. This was one of the latest nights that we had on our whole trip. I tried to schedule our driving days so we were not out past dark (who wants to miss all of that beautiful scenery because the sun has set?)
